What We Stand For

Our motivation is to bring back life to our region, be it by sharing our passion in winemaking, or by telling the history of our village. We prefer to maintain our small production, to guarantee high quality wines to our customers. Each reference is made with care, envisioning the producer’s ideal wines.

Our History

In 2004 we moved to a small village between Mafra and Sintra, about 30 minutes by car from Lisbon. Here, we fell in love with the deep history of Cheleiros, and the wine culture entrenched in the villagers. What started as a hobby became a success between friends and family and motivated us to make our project something meaningful.

The fame of Cheleiros goes back to the Neolithic period, passing through the Romans and Moors, but it is in the 1950s that the stories and memories of wine began to characterize the village. Manzwine promises to transport you to a time when this village was famous for the quality of its vineyards and orchards, due to the quality of soil, plantation on slopes and terraces and a singular microclimate, demarcating the border between maritime influence and the mild protection of the Cheleiros brook.

• Location: Situated in Cheleiros, a village close to Lisbon and to the ocean. With rivers and hills being the primary focal points of interest.
• Winemaking: Hand picked grapes and usage of oak barrels from France and America.
